Sony PlayStation Showcase Kicks Off Today

It appears that Sony‘s show won’t be as substantial as its gaming counterpart Nintendo’s showcase, as the PlayStation State of Play is set to feature a runtime of a mere 20 minutes in contrast to the 40-minute run-time of Nintendo Direct. With that said, Sony is gearing up for the PlayStation Showcase and is promising information on a lineup of around 10 Japanese-developed games. As for what could make its way to the State of Play, it seems likely that we might get to see Square Enix PlayStation-exclusive RPGs the likes of Forespoken and Final Fantasy XVI. That’s not all, we might even get a brand new look at the upcoming Capcom Titles such as Resident Evil 4 and Exoprimal. We’ve also heard rumors about numerous Konami titles being slated for a revival, but we’ll just have to wait and see. For tomorrow’s show, we’ll have some great updates from our amazing Japanese partners, along with a few other surprises from developers all around the world. Expect about 20 minutes of reveals, new updates and fresh gameplay footage for 10 games coming to PS5, PS4, and PS VR2. See you tomorrow! So, why did Sony announce a State of Play that is supposed to take place within a day of the announcement? This is likely due to the fact that the Tokyo Game Show will kick off this Thursday, September 15 and a number of big names will be revealed tomorrow and likely be further showcased at the TGS 2022 show. Surely the library of the PlayStation 5 has been quite feeble even though the console is in its 2nd year of release now. We hope to see a few exciting titles added into the mix that could truly make the PS5 a worthwhile purchase for the gaming community to consider, but it’s quite hard to debate whether purchasing a PS5 could be worth it considering the continuous onslaught of scalping followed by an unexpected official price hike. The State of Play will live stream exactly at 3 pm PT/11 pm BST on both Youtube and Twitch. Fans are pretty excited to see what this State of Play has in store for the gaming community that seemingly popped out of nowhere. Surely, we’ll get some updates on some big-name titles that will inevitably be playable later at the Tokyo Game Show 2022 this Thursday. So, are you excited about Sony’s State of Play? What will Sony have in store for us? Let us know in the comments below. We upload daily on Appuals, so stay tuned for more. Till then, see you later and goodbye.
