Apart from the 3$ price increase to $7.99/month, the new Twitter Blue will give subscribers the very coveted blue checkmark.  While there’s no clarity on when exactly the new Twitter Blue is going to go live, the company is making a lot of backend changes to implement the upcoming features. Recently, some users even received in-app notifications for Twitter Blue, which revealed the upcoming features listed below. 

Blue checkmark: Power to the people: Your account will get a blue checkmark, just like the celebrities, companies, and politicians you already follow.

Other promised features, like a revamped ad experience, ability to post longer videos, and priority ranking for content will presumably come at a later date.
